Supporting Your Business

Litigation Support Services

Many of the disputes which lead to litigation involve complex financial matters. In these cases, whether as plaintiff or defendant, you should ensure that you have expert advice from an early stage on the financial aspects of the action. We are able to combine our accountancy skills with an extensive knowledge of the legal profession to provide first class support to both clients and solicitors in this specialist area.

We provide a service which is supported by the appropriate experts, effective in producing clear and concise evidence and capable of working alongside other advisors which is quick, responsive and cost-effective. Specialist areas include personal injury loss of earnings, matrimonial disputes, valuations of unquoted shares and businesses, reports on ‘real earnings’, partnership disputes, apportionment of partnership assets and goodwill, loss of profits claims, business disruptions, disasters and other insured events. When requested, reports can be provided in full compliance with Part 35 of the Civil Procedures Roles.

This service is headed by Philip Riding, who is supported by Nick Hulme. Philip has seven years’ experience of this type of work including court appearances and single joint expert appointment and is a Full Member of the Academy of Experts. Philip is also able to call upon the input of the whole of the hcwa membership and in particular fellow specialists in litigation support.
