Audit
Although UK auditing thresholds have increased in recent years, audits are still a requirement for many owner-managed businesses, whether for statutory reasons or a requirement of banks or contractual parties. Many owner-managers see audits as a necessary ill, so we aim to make the process as seamless as possible and to add value wherever we can.
When the audit has been completed we want you to feel your business has had a thorough health check. By obtaining a detailed understanding of your business we provide more than just the audit opinion. We report on the effectiveness and appropriateness of the accounting systems and controls and we advise on relevant aspects of your business to assist in maintaining its long-term health.
Our approach is straightforward and focused. We deliver an audit focused on areas critical to the business which is cost-effective and free of surprises. We ensure minimum disruption to you and your staff by providing staff continuity and experienced personnel and we work to agreed timescales in providing the financial statements.
We ensure that all audit assignments are performed to a high standard throughout. We provide regular in-house and external training for our audit team and provide a high level of partner and senior manager input on all audit assignments. We use standard audit programmes, as used by all hcwa firms, and have regular internal and independent external file review programmes to maintain quality control. As members of hcwa, our audit services are strengthened through having direct access to a human resource on a national basis, with member firms being able to provide staff who use the same audit procedures, technical support and training and specialist audit services.
